Me/R or R/Me - Guild Wars Forums

I'm currently about to start taking my second character through the PvE aspects of the game but I'd like to check my understanding.

From what I've see a R/me would be very strong on interrupts if you get your timing right but not so good at shutting down characters with hexes as without fast casting it would be difficult to place the hexes quickly enough. However they would have decent defence from their Armour.

me/R on the otherhand would be able to lay down the hexes and interrupt effectively but would be more vulnerable to attacks, lack back up utility, and run into energy problems if they used Ranger skills which seem to be very expensive without the help of expertise.

Is this correct?

I think ranger skills are resonably priced lol... I do mesmer ranger and love it

I'd do a mesmer simply because they're far more fun IMO.

Just make sure you have some inspiration if you do me/r and you'll have no energy problems.
